Types of Manuscript
Jurnal Teknologi Informasi dan Multimedia (JTIM) accepts scholarly manuscripts that contribute to the development, application, and advancement of information technology, computer science, multimedia, and related interdisciplinary fields within the journal’s focus and scope.
Original Research Articles report novel and substantial research findings based on theoretical, experimental, computational, or empirical studies. These articles should present a clearly defined research problem, appropriate research methodology, valid data or experimental evidence, rigorous analysis, and a meaningful contribution to the field. Topics may include, but are not limited to, database systems, data mining and web mining, data warehouses, artificial intelligence, business intelligence, cloud and grid computing, decision support systems, human-computer interaction, mobile computing and applications, e-systems, machine learning, deep learning, information retrieval, computer networks and security, multimedia systems, information systems, geographical information systems (GIS), accounting information systems, database security, network security, fuzzy logic, expert systems, image processing, computer graphics, computer vision, semantic web, e-health, animation, and other allied areas.
Review Articles provide a comprehensive, critical, and systematic synthesis of existing research on a specific topic within the journal’s scope. Review articles should go beyond merely summarizing previous studies by identifying research trends, methodological developments, limitations, research gaps, and potential directions for future research.
Case Study and Applied Research Articles present systematic investigations of specific cases, organizations, environments, technological implementations, or real-world problems. These articles should clearly describe the context, research or development methodology, data or evidence used, implementation process where applicable, and evaluation or analysis of the results. The study should demonstrate a clear contribution to the practical or theoretical development of information technology or related fields.
Technical Articles focus on the design, development, implementation, optimization, testing, or evaluation of technological solutions, including software, information systems, algorithms, computational models, networks, multimedia applications, artificial intelligence systems, and other technology-based solutions. Technical articles must provide sufficient methodological and technical details to demonstrate the validity, reproducibility, and significance of the proposed solution.
All submitted articles must be relevant to the Focus and Scope of JTIM, demonstrate academic and methodological rigor, provide sufficient evidence to support the reported findings, and make a clear contribution to the advancement of information technology, multimedia, computer science, or related fields. Manuscripts that are primarily descriptive, lack methodological clarity, or do not demonstrate a sufficient scientific or technical contribution may not be considered for publication.
