Authorship Criteria

Jurnal Teknologi Informasi dan Multimedia recognizes authorship based on substantial contributions to the conception or design of the research; the acquisition, analysis, or interpretation of data; the development or implementation of methods, systems, or experiments; and/or other significant intellectual contributions to the work. To be recognized as an author, an individual must have made a substantial intellectual contribution to the research and must participate in drafting the manuscript or critically revising it for important intellectual content.

All authors must approve the final version of the manuscript and agree to be accountable for all aspects of the work, including ensuring that questions related to the accuracy, integrity, and validity of the research are appropriately investigated and resolved. Each author should be able to identify their contribution to the work and should take responsibility for the parts of the manuscript relevant to their contribution.

Individuals who have contributed to the research but do not meet the criteria for authorship should not be listed as authors. Their contributions may instead be acknowledged in the Acknowledgments section, where appropriate. Such contributions may include administrative assistance, general supervision, technical support, language editing, data collection without substantial intellectual contribution, or financial and material support.

Guest authorship, honorary authorship, and gift authorship are not permitted. Likewise, individuals who have made substantial contributions to the research should not be omitted from the list of authors. The order of authorship and the identification of the corresponding author should be agreed upon by all authors before submission.

Any changes to the authorship, including the addition, removal, or rearrangement of authors after manuscript submission, must be justified and approved by all authors. Such changes are subject to the approval of the editorial team and may require written confirmation from all authors involved.

By submitting a manuscript to JTIM, the authors confirm that the authorship list accurately reflects the contributions made to the work and that all listed authors have approved the submitted manuscript and agreed to its publication.
